Lee University SnowRight before the Christmas break, Cleveland, TN got some nice snowfall for the holidays. It was very special for me simply because I’m not accustomed to the whole snow experience. It was some beautiful stuff.

After being awakened at 9am by Dr. Gilbert of the Lee University Video Production Center I was asked to come outside quickly and grab a video camera. Being of sleepy mind I was completely unaware of what had fallen from the sky throughout the night. The moment I saw snow out the window clothes were being thrown on to run outside.

I didn’t take many stills that day but one that I did take ended up looking pretty good. I thought maybe good enough for the Lee University website, which cycles through a collection of related photos on the homepage.

After submitting the photo that night, it was accepted and thrown online in a hurry. I’m not a pro at still photography by a long shot. I hadn’t had my Canon Rebel XSi but maybe a month or two at that point, but seeing my photo on my school’s website made my day.

Below you can a screen shot of the Lee website on December 10, 2009 featuring my photo. (The “Merry Christmas!” text wasn’t my idea.)
